Seven international artists have been invited to create site-specific work at Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum, located on the former military zone within the Berlin Wall. The exhibition series opens with a citywide project by Daniel Knorr (Berlin) and hosts Miklós Mécs (Budapest) for a 1-month residency.

Miklós Mécs offered 42 proposals for the exhibition series, PARCELLA. Skulpturenpark has given him a chance to produce his ideas during a 1-month residency. For the next month, Mécs will reside in a 6th floor apartment at Seydelstrasse 15, the sole building situated in the park. During his stay, he will produce various site-specific projects, beginning with his opening night dinner and performative sculpture, Proposal no. 32: Shots Flag. His original 42 proposals can be currently viewed on his webblog http://www.skulpturenpark.blogspot.com. The blog will serve as a vital resource for Mécs to post his activities and advertise new ones.  On site, he will utilize the park billboard on Neue Grunstrasse to communicate with park visitors and local residents. Mécs residency begins at the opening. Throughout the month, he will host public events at the park. To follow his activities, please leave us your email or come back to the park soon. New works will appear weekly, if not, daily.

Daniel Knorr has mounted an official "Mother label" on the Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum building, Modecentrum, which announces his name and project’s title, 1 Year Warranty / 1 Jahr Garantie. He has and will be stenciling the same sign on public spaces throughout Berlin. In reference to the Writing Culture of Graffiti, the sign critiques the privatization of urban spaces. However, it also provides a public space “Seal of Approval” determined by the artist.

The Parcella series is a cooperative project by KUNSTrePUBLIK, e.V. with Lumen Foundation, Budapest. Parcella is supported by Bipolar, a German–Hungarian cultural cooperation. Bipolar is an Initiative of the Federal Cultural Foundation (Kulturstiftung des Bundes).
