We would like to invite volunteers
of all ages and backgrounds to take part in a mass performance, a project
by artist Katarina Sevic, on the vacant lots of Skulpturenark Berlin_Zentrum.
Participants will be asked to perform simultaneous simple movements,
strictly following a few rules:
Walk slowly
Participants will be in constant movement, walking very slowly from
the starting point (Seydelstr. 7., 10117 Berlin, Mitte), across the
terrain, towards the exit point. If not naturally, people should adjust
to the same walking pace.
Keep distance
Each participant will maintain a specific distance (approx. 2 meters)
from surrounding people. Collectively, the group will form a mass-pattern
resembling a hexagonal net made of triangles with equal sides. Participants
will be asked to keep this hexagon shape in mind.
Stay silent
The choreography will be performed in silence without background music,
sound, or conversation.
The performance will be documented on video and photo.
Duration: approximately 30 minutes
